About - Fylde Micro Pioneers in Trunked Radio.

Fylde Micro design, develop, manufacture, and supply MPT1327 Trunking radio communications solutions to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMS), dealers, and end-users.

Fylde are co founders and current world leaders in the design, manufacture and supply of MPT1327 radio trunking networks. Fylde delivered the first ever true MPT system to British Telecom back in 1986 and installed it on the Post office tower in London. This was closely followed by the first multi site systems.

Today, Fylde Micro are successfully rolling out networks with our 3rd generation product to meet modern day voice and data communications challenges.

Fylde Micro are currently in the process of completing the roll out of a national MPT1327 network in Belgium, Holland and parts of France and Germany with plans in place to expand into the UK in 2007/8. SEE MORE>

Technology...

Fylde have been involved with MPT1327 since January 1985 helping to draft, release, and maintain the standard for over 20 years.

Breaking the mould with distributed processing dual-CPU designs was really something special back in mid 80's when PCs cost £2,500 with a 5Mbyte hard drive and took over 4 hours to compile our channel card software. But the innovation hasn't stopped there. Fylde believe passionately that equipment should be rugged, well-supported, and have exceptional overall performance. Twenty two years of continuous and voracious development have resulted in a 3rd generation product that has consisently proved its superiority throughout the world.

Fylde systems are engineered to be economic to run. Bandwidth requirements on fixed links are minimised, software updates are free to users, and all new equipment can be used with the older 1st and 2nd generation products.

A Fylde system can satisfy the requirements for a 2-channel single site with telephone interconnect right through to 800 sites with over 20 channels per site. All in a single product.

There's much more to building a trunked network than hooking up CAT5 Ethernet cables. IP-connectivity, which Fylde support, merely provides the end to end transport for data - a small part of the system logic. Locating, controlling and monitoring radio traffic is much much more than this. With Fylde you hook into 22 years experience in MPT1327 and a support team with over 80 years combined experience.
